Charlotte Tilbury opens in US

British makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, the founder of the eponymously named beauty brand, is planning to open her first store in the US in the next few months.

Located at The Grove in Los Angeles, the Beauty Wonderland store will be Charlotte’s first standalone store outside of the UK and the Middle East.

Announcing the upcoming opening, the makeup artist who has worked on the faces of A-list celebrities such as Cindy Crawford, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Kate Moss, Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez and Emily Ratajkowski, said she “couldn’t be more excited” to open her first store in Los Angeles.

“As the home of the red carpet, there couldn’t be a more perfect location for my first stand-alone wonderland in North America,” she said. “It’s [Los Angeles] like a home away from home for me.

“With all of my Beauty Wonderlands I have designed them to completely revolutionise and disrupt the way people shop, they are beauty playgrounds for everyone from 18-80.”

The new store will offer a truly immersive and interactive experience with features such as “multisensory activations, first-of-their-kind elements of retail theatre, beauty educational content, cutting edge digital innovations and services exclusive to the LA market.”

Charlotte says she wants customers who walk into the store to feel like they  are “literally stepping” into her  world – “a world full of beauty zones, from Rock ‘n’ Roll and Hollywood to Fashion and Magic, each created to make you dream and make your beauty dreams come true!

Charlotte, who has been a makeup artist to celebrities on “shoots, runways and the red carpet” for 26 years, launched Charlotte Tilbury Beauty in 2013.

Built on her philosophy, “Give everyone the right make-up, and they can conquer the world”, the  brand, launched in North America at Bergdorf Goodman and Nordstrom and online via CharlotteTilbury.com and Net-A-Porter in 2014.

Since then the brand has expanded its distribution in the US to include Bloomingdales and Sephora as well as online beauty hub Beautylish.

It is also sold in over 66 other countries via CharlotteTilbury.com, over 100 department store counters (UK, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, USA, Hong Kong) and six standalone stores (two in London, two in Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait).
