12 Professional Beauty Launches We Love Right Now

August is a busy month for professional beauty launches in Australia. With Beauty Expo on the horizon for many in the industry, it’s no wonder brands are keen to promote their latest and greatest at this time of year.

The team here at Professional Beauty are privy to it all. From skincare to tanning, makeup to brows, we’ve done the impossible and shortlisted a dozen recent launches that have grabbed and held our attention most.

Here are our top 12 professional beauty launches for the winter 2023 season (in alphabetical order):

1. Adorn tanning range

Australian sustainable beauty brand, Adorn – which was founded in 2008 by Briony Kennedy – has recently expanded its repertoire into tanning, releasing self-tan mousses, a face serum and tanning drops that combine skin-loving actives with a dihydroxyacetone (DHA) base.

2. dermaviduals Décolleté Cream

Treat the neck and décolleté to rejuvenating kigelia and dermaviduals’ Derma Membrane Structure – a savvy solution for sensitive skin types. The brand’s new cream makes for an ideal treatment add-on due to its lifting and firming capabilities.

3. Douglas Pereira Skin Health Platinum Peptide range

Extending on Douglas Pereira’s signature peptide-packed products is a new Platinum range, encompassing a day serum, night serum and eye serum. The SKUs hero Douglas’ 99% Platinum Peptide 11complex – a unique cocktail of highly sophisticated peptides for the ultimate experience in skin renewal.

4. Ginger&Me Mindfulness Mini Candle Trio

Much-loved homegrown skin and wellness brand, Ginger&Me has released a stylish candle sampler featuring three addictive scents designed to evoke a state of calm. Burn them at your salon’s reception desk, or stock them year-round as an appealing upsell. 

5. Guinot Lip Perfect Gommage + Baume

This nifty scrub-and-balm duo by Guniot makes for the perfect lip treat. The Lip Smoothing Scrub contains granulated sugar to reinvigorate delicate skin, while the Moisturising Anti-Ageing Lip Balm contains nourishing hyaluronic acid and Konjac Glucomannan Ultra Filler Spheres. Pots can be used separately or in unison to prep and nourish the lips – a cool weather must-have.

6. Intraceuticals Vitamin B+3 Booster Complex

Intraceuticals’ newest booster combines niacinamide, pro vitamin B5, biotin B7, hyaluronic acid and Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract designed to deliver a surge of hydration to the skin. The complex is available as a retail serum and professional-only booster vial.

7. jane iredale PureBronze Collection

Professional cosmetics powerhouse jane iredale has recently unveiled three new bronzing SKUs in smart, sustainable packaging. Available in matte and shimmer variants (now also in Copper Dusk), bronzer refills pair neatly with the brand’s reusable magnetic compact.

8. Murad Retinal ReSculpt Overnight Treatment

Murad’s latest serum is designed to treat advanced signs of ageing by heroing encapsulated retinal. Its creamy, lightweight formula works to tighten the skin, and fill deep-set wrinkles and enlarged pores.

9. Payot SOURCE range

Payot’s new SOURCE range is tapping into the adaptogenic skincare trend, combining breton algae and reishi mushroom with hyaluronic acid to fight free radicals and hydrate the skin respectively. 10. Ragan Skin range

Ragan Skin is the highly-anticipated product line founded by Australian skin therapist Isabella Loneragan. The clinic owner recently launched with over 20 SKUs, ranging everything from an overnight revival mask through to an advanced moisturiser containing Matrixyl synthe-6. 

11. The Complete Brow Brow Sculpt

This all-in-one brow sculpting tool looks as good as it performs. It reveals a dual brush and comb wand to groom brows, as well as a laminating cream that sets clear and holds brow shape in place (minus the stiff feel of some competitor formulas).

12. Vagheggi Rehydra range

Italian skincare brand Vagheggi specialises in phytocosmetics, and re-released its Rehydra range in 2023 in new-and-improved sustainable packaging. The range contains two types of hyaluronic acid designed to take skin hydration to the next level.
