General public gets free access to APAA expo

In an industry first for The Association of Professional Aestheticians of Australia (APAA), members of the public will have free access to the two-day Australasian Aesthetics Educational Conference and Expo at the Palazzo Versace, Gold Coast on Saturday 26th June and Sunday 27th June 2010.

The event will feature presentations and demonstrations including makeup applications for day, night and glamour, eyelash grafting, industry uniform modelling, fashion modelling, the Australian Cup Nail Competition, free sample bags and much more.

Guests will also have the opportunity to take part in hands-on demonstrations within the booth areas, discuss issues in any area of beauty with one-hour intimate group question and answer classes, and purchase products from exhibitors during the event including, makeup demonstration DVDs.

APAA National President, Anne-Marie Marynycz, said the association is extremely proud and excited to be providing the public with industry excellence at the Education Conference and Expo.

“This event is the first of its kind for the industry; we have worked hard to create an event where anyone can have a fantastic time and learn really great concepts, beauty professional or not,” Ms Marynycz said.

Attendees can also purchase tickets to the Two Day Educational Seminar Program, which features five speakers daily, presenting on topics ranging from advanced technologies to cosmetic tattoo, skin analysis, intense pulse light laser therapies, OH&S issues and education, with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea included.

Celebrating more than 50 years representing the industry, the APAA has representation in every state, and is recognised for its commitment to education and raising the standards within its membership so that the public can be assured they are in the hands of competent professionals.
