Final Days to Secure Your Spot at This Year’s BEAUTY & SPA Insiders Event

There’s just days to go until BEAUTY & SPA Insiders 2023 officially kicks off! The anticipated professionals-only event will see members of the beauty and aesthetics industries come together for a day of educational talks and networking.

Now in its fourth year, the full day extravaganza will be hosted in conjunction with Professional Beauty magazine and SPA+CLINIC which will be staged at the stunning Pier One, Sydney Harbour on Monday October 16.

Skin and dermal therapists are set to gain the most out of the day’s sessions, with some of the country’s highest regarded names in attendance.

1. The Talent

Taking one look at the speaker line-up for BEAUTY & SPA Insiders 2023 and it’s clear the event will play host to some of the industry’s best-of-the-best!

Experts in skin include the likes of: Synergie Skin’s Terri (Vinson) Jones, Fayshell’s Katelin Gregg  and Ella James, Waterlily’s Michelle Reeve, Ragan Skin’s Isabella Loneragan, Skinceuticals’ Dr Tania Romano, Dr Tanya Skincare’s Dr Tanya Unni, Northern Sydney Dermatology and Laser’s Dr Shreya Andric, The London Skin Clinic’s Shaun Douglas, and Advanced Cosmeceuticals Skin Group’s Bryce Hadley.

The event will feature a range of solo talks and panel discussions introduced by accomplished beauty therapist, dermal clinician, and business owner and BSI MC, Danielle Hughes

Terri (Vinson) Jones – an esteemed Australian cosmetic chemist – will take to the stage for a chat about her journey as a CEO and skincare formulator. She will delve into the art of formulation, and share insights into the invaluable lessons she has gathered along the way.

Victoria Curtis of Curtis Collection Cosmetics will discuss the role mineral makeup plays in supporting skin health. The Cynosure team will talk guests through why radio frequency is the future of skin rejuvenation. 

PB’s Online Editor Hannah Gay will host a panel discussion on Supporting your Clients’ Mind-Skin-Health Connection by Creating a Referral System. She will be joined by nutritional medicine practitioner, Fiona Tuck, dermatologist Dr Shreya Andric, and clinical psychologist, Dr Toni Pikoos.

Plastic Surgeon, Dr Steven Liew will lead a panel discussion around the future of beauty and aesthetics, touching on trends and regulations. He will be joined by founder of KG Beauty & Modality Training,  Karen Geiszler, as well as Dr Tania Romano, Inigo Cosmetic’s Dr Ian Chinsee, and Bryce Hadley.

3. The Business Education

For salon and clinic owners, as well as those looking to start their own businesses, experts will offer a slew of business advice. SSKIN founders, Amy and Emilee Hembrow will serve as the event’s keynote speakers, focusing on their profound business and marketing experience, as well as a strong focus on team culture, training, and always putting your clients first.

Isabella Loneragen, Dr Tanya Unni and PAX Polish founder, Emma Louise Paxton are set to head up a panel discussion on How to Turn your Passion into a Profitable Business. The women will look at what sets a great idea apart from a great business, how to build a brand, and what the career-personal life balance really looks like.

Experienced skin therapist and diversity advocate, Peta Friend will lead a solo talk on the onus of beauty and aesthetic business owners in providing a safe and supportive space for all clients.

Michelle Reeve, Sofitel SPA’s Cecilia Ferreyra, and founder of Brow Squad Training Academy, Jessika Briggenshaw will collaborate on a talk around how to elevate the client experience to secure returning clients.

RN and business owner, Kelly George will share how she manages to not only hire the right people, but more importantly, how she retains her staff and keeps them motivated.

And beyond Payment’s Larry Prosser will join the Fayshell founders for an insightful chat on the various technological touch-points salon and clinic owners need to be across to help their businesses succeed.

Throughout the day, guests will be provided time to meet the speakers and network with one another. The event will also make for an ideal opportunity to capture stunning social media content against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour.
