After enjoying champagne and canapés, Penny Rider, Director of Eternal Beauty, introduced herself to give a talk and product demonstrations. Penny went through all five of the brands products starting with the Eyesential “miracle under eye enhancer” which, when applied from the inner corner of the eye to the outer, creates a translucent film over the skin, concealing dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles for a smoother, younger look. Penny demonstrated Eyesential on just one eye of her mature model and it was clear for those in attendance to see the difference the product made. Penny said Eyesential was first developed in the 1950s and was used on Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Today the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Cindy Crawford are reportedly use it.

The second product Penny demonstrated was The Lift which is marketed as an instant at-home facelift. It was originally developed in Hollywood for instant skin restoration and rejuvenation. The Lift has featured in flash back scenes, to make actors appear younger, on Underbelly, City Homicide and Killing Time. It is also a favourite product for celebrity makeup artists such as Louise Constad to use when getting clients red carpet ready. The Lift consists of three components which are mixed together to create a paste. This is then applied to the skin for up to 30 minutes to firm and tighten before being rinsed with water and completed with collagen cream. Penny says the immediate firming effect felt during application indicates the instantaneous stimulation of muscles and increased blood flow to the face.

Penny then discussed Lashes, Eternal Beauty’s eyelash and eyebrow growth serum said to grow and strengthen eyelashes in just weeks. Reportedly loved by Kate Moss, it has taken the UK by storm. Penny says it has been designed to stimulate the growth of lashes using state-of-the art peptide Sympeptide 226 which stimulates the natural keratin gene.

The other two products Penny discussed were the Plump & Shine lip gloss, containing lip enhancing ingredients, and Elevate “bust firmer and maximiser” designed for every day use to create fuller breasts. The active ingredient is Commipheroline which, extracted from the Indian Commiphora Mukul Tree, is said to stimulate the production of fat in the breasts.

The Ivy Penthouse was a great setting for the beauty launch

Penny mentioned the EU’s new cosmetic regulations which will come into force from 2013, whereby certain ingredients are now prohibited, labelling must be clear and products cannot be tested on animals in any way. Eternal Beauty already adheres to this and has passed Australia’s stringent skincare regulations.
