Brow-queen Suzie Mcintosh is bringing tattooed arches to MECCA’s Sydney flagship

Melbourne brow-queen Suzie Mcintosh will be delivering her signature bespoke brows through cult-Australian retailer MECCA. Visitors to MECCA’s Sydney Gowings Building destination will now be able to visit the Suzie Mcintosh luxury brow-suite, receiving brow tattooing from her experienced team. The offering includes Feathered, Ombre Brows or Combo & Tint Stain Brows.

Mcintosh said the partnership arose from collaborations through 2021, including virtual lockdown classes via Mecca’s content platform The Memo, during 2021. She said, “I have worked alongside Mecca on a few small projects over the past 12 months. Being presented with the opportunity of the opening inside their new iconic flagship store in Sydney was a dream!”

Mecca’s “Mecca Max” brow products have been used for the finishing flourish in the Mcintosh salon for years: “We have used Mecca Max products for many years now and my team love them. Often clients would ask what we use and then would head straight over to Mecca to purchase – now with a salon inside the MECCA Sydney flagship store, it is very convenient for them.”

Mcintosh says she could not have made the leap to the Sydney flagship without her loyal Victorian following.

“Melbourne has and always will be the heart and soul of my brand and we will always appreciate the original client base that have supported us for so many years now. It’s with the help of my incredible team, in combination with these loyal clients that have helped us grow the brand, which often now exposes us to new and exciting opportunities. I am very grateful!”

MECCA’s evolving service offering:

Redeemable makeup services have been part of the backbone of MECCA’s business model over the last ten years (the other part being their exclusive contracts with Instagram-shelfie worthy international brands). However, this new partnership flags the Australian luxury beauty giants’ repositioning as a high-concept, high-end service provider. Their partnered offerings are extensive, diverse and currently exclusive to the Sydney-based Gowing flagship store.

Mecca's Sydney Flagship
Mecca’s Sydney Flaghship MECCA has become a destination for a range of professional beauty services.

From by-appointment sessions with jewellers like Linden Cook’s (Cook’s signature “fingerprint” pieces are created on-site) to bespoke bracelets and piercing from Sarah and Sebastian, and blow drys with Edwards and Co. There are also a number of wellness offerings. Naturopath Anthia Koullouros takes appointments at the flagship while Fertility Suite’s Jenna McDonald delivers acupuncture while “helping women write their own fertility story.” Melbourne-based nail artist Chelsea Bagan of Trophy Wife Nail Art will be taking a residency during November and December. One Wednesday a month MECCA host aesthetic physician Dr Van Park who provides by-appointment injectable services. Is a full-service MECCA salon on the cards? The PB team can’t wait to find out!
