New Products and Packaging for KMS

KMS held a stylish launch party at the Charles Hewitt Gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney this week where Louise Chamberlain, Marketing Manger of KPSS Australia, unveiled the brand’s New Attitude, New Look, New Technology and New Products. The KMS brand has had an extreme makeover.

Inspired by the colour blocking trend, KMS have created new soft touch packaging in modern, sleek bodies and a bold, contrasting colour palette. Edgy yet user friendly, KMS’ new design still delivers the product performance and quality that KMS was founded upon.


KMS celebrates individuals and is obsessed with real people, real lives and individual style and their range reflects this in its diversity. “We believe that the combination of the new attitude, new packaging, new campaign and new products will resonate strongly with our consumers and salons. KMS will continue to provide consumers with the tools to help them achieve the versatile look they want, and show off their own individual style”, said Louise.

KMS products allow great performance for every style through the latest technology and ingredients. During the launch, Clive Allwright, KMS California Artistic Director, demonstrated some of the 12 new products including the new Freeshape range. The Freeshape range contains heat activation and transformation technology to deliver ultimate care and preparation for hair prior to heat styling. The range includes care and styling products.


Of the new range, the two products which really stand-out and are sure to excite hair stylists and consumers alike, are the Freeshape Quick Blow Dry and Freeshape Hot Flex Spray (both $31.95). The Freeshape Quick Blow Dry accelerates hair drying time whilst providing heat protection. It cuts drying time by up to 50% and conditions the hair. Freeshape Hot Flex Spray allows for flexible shaping with elastic hold to make styles last longer. This anti-breakage product is humidity resistant and provides re-styleability by transforming the hair from curly to straight or vice versa.


Other new products include Hairplay Dry Touch-Up ($28.95) – A dry conditioner to instantly revive dry, overworked hair; Silksheen Styling Crème ($31.95) – A light shaping and smoothing crème for low maintenance, frizz-free style; CurlUp Wave Foam ($36.95) – A lightweight foam formula that creates and enhances soft waves; AddVolume Volumizing Spray ($31.95) – A volumizing spray to increase volume by up to 70%; HairPlay Design Wax ($33.95) – An all round classic wax for flexible control and shine; and MoistureRepair Therapy Treatment ($31.95) – A deep treatment that nourishes, rescues and restores damaged and brittle hair.
