New direction for beauty sector at Beautyworld 2011

Beautyworld, Frankfurt am Main, will strike out in new directions from 2011 when its multi-faceted range of products are integrated into Ambiente and Hair and Beauty.

“With this modification, we are reacting to current developments in the market, which include an extensive process of concentration and new sales structures,” said Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

Messe Frankfurt currently organises five beauty fairs around the world: Dubai, Osaka and Tokyo, Buenos Aires and Mumbai. At present, there are no plans to continue Beautyworld as an independent trade fair in Frankfurt.

Following requests from the exhibitors, the trade-oriented section of the former Beautyworld, e.g., accessories, perfumes, etc., will be integrated into Ambiente from 2011. These product groups will be positioned in the Giving section of the fair and become part of an extremely large international business setting. At the same time, the user-oriented section of Beautyworld will become part of Hair and Beauty. Distinguished by international presentations revolving around nails, make-up and beautician training, ‘Beauty@Salon’, will be the new platform or exhibition segment for beauticians and service providers in the beauty market.

An expanded program for ‘Beauty@Salon’ – with special forums for care cosmetics, natural cosmetics and anti-aging – is planned for the future.
