Manon Pilon, French-Canadian medical spa consultant, educator, researcher, medical aesthetician and International Director of Education for Nelly De Vuyst skincare, will present a workshop at the 2009 AustralAsian Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine (A5M) conference in Melbourne this October.
Ms Pilon’s one-day workshop, Boost Your Bottom Line Medispa Workshop: Earn up to $500,000 per Medispa Room was a recent sellout in Dubai and looks set to have similar success in Australia.
Ms Pilon has conducted seminars throughout the world educating medical specialists, aestheticians, spa owners, dermatologists, as well as plastic surgeons and other professionals.
In 2006, Ms Pilon’s first book “Anti-Aging the Cure: Based on your Body Type” was well received by the medical and aesthetic industry. She remains active in the industry, continuously using her voice to give back to the aesthetic, spa and medical community, and is recognised for being a true motivator.
The (A5M) conference presents world expert speakers on internal, external and complementary anti-ageing medicine. The organisation will dedicate much of its 2009 conference, called “Changing Paradigms in Medicine”, to the business aspects of anti-ageing medicine, including how to establish an anti-ageing medicine practice or medispa.
Anti-ageing medicine services may include a thorough patient assessment to look at health risk factors, comprehensive pathological tests and a prescription of a total wellbeing program. Treatment protocols will vary but will usually span diet and nutrition, lifestyle and exercise, supplementation and prescription medications.
External aesthetic services may include Botox, injectables, laser hair removal, IPL, cellulite reduction treatments and aggressive resurfacing techniques.
“Combining internal anti-ageing medicine and external wellness treatments makes sense for clients and is good business sense for health professionals,” said Mr Bill Anton, Chairman of the A5M and Scientific Advisor to the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
The A5M 3rd Annual 2009 Conference will take place at the Sofitel Melbourne, from October 3 to 4, 2009.
Ms Pilon’s workshop is scheduled for Sunday, October 4.
