Look Good Feel Better Commences Cancer Awareness Month

The Look Good Feel Better campaign is set to launch ‘Feel Better Month’ from September 1. The movement encourages Australians to support the thousands of cancer patients who benefit from the program.

Feel Better Month is in its seventh year and focuses on raising awareness and funds. The campaign’s objective is ensuring complimentary workshops and Confidence Kits continue to be available to all undergoing cancer treatment.

Several small business owners in the beauty industry are running morning teas to fundraise money for Feel Better Month.

Several fundraising initiatives are also taking place throughout September to support the campaign, including those by French skincare brand Biologique Recherche, and luxury department stores David Jones and Myer.

Biologique Recherche is donating 10% from all orders of their Lotion P50 bought in September to Look Good Feel Better. Furthermore, the brand is also donating 10% from every Wellness for Cancer treatment booked during September to the campaign. Biologique Recherche specifically adapted the aforementioned face and body treatments to the needs of cancer patients and those in remission.

In addition, David Jones is pledging $1 from every lipstick and lipgloss bought in-stores and online to the campaign. Myer is running the same offer for lipsticks and lipglosses bought from the department store from September 4-17.

“The Look Good Feel Better program is about more than just makeup; it’s also about offering cancer patients the opportunity to learn practical strategies to manage the physical, psychological, and social impacts of cancer treatment,” said Carol Kavurma, General Manager of the campaign. “Feel Better Month 2022 will help us deliver on our promise to help Australians face their cancer diagnosis with confidence. We’re grateful for the support of our partners and the community, and the important part they play.”
