Billed as Australia's biggest and best designer shopping event for the fashion-savvy, Fashion Weekend Sydney offers clothes and accessories from 120 of Australia's leading fashion designers with discounts of up to 70 per cent off their current and last season collections.
The event takes place from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 May, 2010, at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park, Sydney.
As well as the shopping and hourly catwalks, beauty makeovers, manicures, hairstyling, tanning bars, style consultations and a fabulous wine bar are all part of the experience. Previous participating brands have included Essie, Pure Fiji and Eminence Organic Skin Care.
Participating designers include Ginger & Smart, Shakuhachi, Bracewell, Peeptoe, Camilla, This is Genevieve and Little Joe by Gail Elliot.
The event has a different theme each day:
Opening Night in association with Tempus Two, Thursday 13th May, 5pm – 9pm
Have first pick of the clothes and accessories at the Opening Night. The designers at Fashion Weekend restock their stands daily but there may be a few extra special finds on the Opening Night. A strictly limited number of tickets are available so book early. All visitors who attend the opening night will receive a complimentary glass of Tempus Two at the Tempus Two Wine Bar.
Fashionably Late Friday, 14th May, 2pm – 9pm
Perfect for after-work retail therapy or even that half day's holiday you keep meaning to use up.
Saturday Shop-a-thon, 15th May, 10am – 5pm
Get a bunch of your girlfriends together, credit cards at the ready and come and shop all day. There's no better way to spend a Saturday.
Last Chance Sunday, 16th May, 10am – 5pm
Your last chance to pick up some bargains. Prices will be dropping and designers will be replenishing stock throughout the event so there will be new pieces on sale each day, even on Sunday.
There are tickets to suit every budget, from $20 to $30 Silver tickets, $40 to $50 Gold tickets, $45 to $55 Platinum tickets and a limited number of VIP tickets at $95. Buy tickets in advance for the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree, or buy them at the door of the event.
