Bodyography has announced it will sponsor the Australian Hair Fashion Awards’ Make Up Artist of the Year 2009 award.
The prize will be recognised as the Bodyography Make Up Artist of the Year Award and will be presented to the winner at the Sydney Opera House on April 20, 2009.
The Australian Hair Fashion Awards event will reportedly boast local and international celebrities and bands, and will be filmed by pay TV music channel, MTV. A team of ten Bodyography makeup artists will provide makeup for celebrity guests, red carpet arrivals, media and band members prior to the event.
Rob Tamburro, General Manager, Bodyography said that it is an exciting time for the company, with its first product shipment arriving only one year ago and the company officially launching in September, 2008.
“Bodyography has received great support and feedback from professional makeup artists, beauty therapists, dermatologists and hairdressers. Support of the professional industry through programs such as the fellowship of hairdressing and the Australian Hair Fashion Awards allows us to work closer and support the professional cosmetic industry.
“The [Australian Hair Fashion Awards] are considered to be [among] the fairest as judging is done by an independent panel in the UK then sent back to Australia. Bodyography hopes to build on this sponsorship each year, supporting the professional industry and building a boutique cosmetic brand in Australia which is Bodyography.”
Tamburro added that following the awards, Bodyography will accompany international stylists on a tour of TAFE colleges around Australia, speaking directly with future makeup artist and therapists entering the industry.
