Bodyography pampers Heartkids’ mum’s for Mother’s Day

Just in time for Mother's Day, the Bodyography teamed aimed to brighten the lives of mother's at Heartkids Victoria (including Tasmania) by pampering them from their child's bedside.

Chelsea; a Heartkids baby.

"Bodyography Australia has donated over $3000 in Bodyography products in the hope to bring some cheer to the amazing mothers,” said Rob Tamburro, director of Bodyography Australia.

Mother’s with sick children barely have time to shower, let alone get a hair blow-dry, a manicure or a massage. Spending sleepless nights by their child’s side is not only exhausting, it also takes an emotional toll.

The generous Bodyography team provided hair styling, massages, facials, and manicures with a gourmet morning tea and giveaways to all the mother’s of the cardiac ward.

Rob knew that this would bring a smile to many of the mother’s faces, however it wasn’t until he spoke with one of the mothers, Mrs Jo Larson, a member and volunteer of Heartkids Victoria, that he realised just how far a bit of pampering can go towards making the mother of a sick child happy.

“One mum had a baby who went in for open-heart surgery while we were there. We were waiting with her to know if her baby was going to survive (and unfortunately, I personally know this feeling too well), but we were able to distract her with some pampering, and as I left the hospital they told me the surgery went well,” said Jo.

She continued, “Many other Mums had bubs recovering from and awaiting surgery this weekend. Bodyography’s contribution seriously matters and makes a difference,"

After a day of pampering, each Heartkids' mum also received a Bodyography gift bag filled with goodies.
