Beauty equipment distributor, Body Clinic (Australia), has announced the introduction of a new payment program (Flexiway) to their portfolio of payment options. The company says that Flexiway is a no-deposit equipment rental program that offers an easier, more affordable solution to acquiring or upgrading salon equipment in today’s economic climate.
“Even with interest rates at an all time low, proprietors are, understandably, nervous about acquiring new equipment. With this in mind, we wanted to offer a no-deposit flexible rental program that had a choice of options at the beginning, during, and at the end of the rental period; real options that the salon owner could tailor and benefit from to suit them and their business,” said Body Clinic proprietor, Paula Frewin.
Options include choice of rental period, an option to purchase at any time during the rental period, an option to upgrade during the rental period and an option to keep or sell the equipment once the initial rental period is over.
Body Clinic has also introduced an equipment ‘trade-in’ service.
“We are consistently approached by salons and training schools that have old technology and equipment, or have recently purchased equipment that financially fell into the ‘too good to be true’ category – and was subsequently proven to be so in performance – about trade-ins,” Frewin explained. “Up until now, this is an area of business we have declined to consider, however this is about to change.”
Frewin said that the fast progression of the beauty industry and the introduction of new hybrid technology prompted the company’s move to offer more flexible solutions to supplying equipment.
She added that each trade-in is considered on its own merits. The age, condition, manufacturer, and whether the equipment is in working order or not, has no bearing on its trade-in value.
“Unfortunately there is no ‘blue book’ value on second-hand beauty therapy equipment, however, we will offer what we believe is a fair going market rate,” Frewin said.
