Last Chance to Enter the 2023 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards

Entries into the Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards will close this week on Friday July 21 2023.

The Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards are open to all Australian, women-owned small businesses across the retail, service and manufacturing industries. This includes beauty services.

“The awards seek to recognise the hard work that women business owners contribute to the local community in generating employment for millions of Australians, as well as their commitment to the Australian economy,” the competition’s website states.

Entrants will be considered amongst a pool of other applicants for a range of awards. An award will be announced for each category.

Some categories include ‘Beauty Services’, ‘Brows and Lashes’, ‘Make-up Artist’, and ‘Nail Artist’.

Major awards will also be announced for: Small Business Champion Influential Woman, Small Business Champion Woman Entrepreneur (over 30 years), Young Small Business Champion Woman Entrepreneur (30 years and under), and Small Business Champion Woman Icon.

In 2022, Stellar Aesthetics Spa in Mandurah won the Beauty Services award. Brows by Willow in Port Macquarie won the Brows and Lashes award. Renee Touma Makeup in Earlwood won the Make-up Artist award. And Trinanailart in Sadleir won the Nail Artist award.

Bombshell Beauty Academy’s Kimmie Fox took home the award for Young Small Business Champion Woman Entrepreneur (30 years and under). The makeup artist and trainer hosted Australia’s first makeup conference earlier this year.

“Women are leaving their mark throughout Australia and contributing to the positive future of small business in many sectors and industries,” said awards founder and Managing Director at Precedent Productions, Steve Loe.

“The creation of this program aims to provide the opportunity for all women with rich experiences from different professions to be awarded the recognition they deserve on a national level.”

To enter, applicants can fill out an Awards Entry application. Small business owners are required to answer questions to support their application. A selection of judges from across a range of industries will judge applications in shortlisting finalists across each category.

Finalists will be announced on the company’s website on Wednesday August 16 2023. A National Presentation Evening will announce the 2023 winners. This will run out of The Star, Sydney on Saturday September 23 2023.
