Murad Australia wins international award

Just one year after launching onto the local market, Murad Australia has been recognised for its early sales success with an award at the Murad International Conference in California.

The Australian team won the Best in Class Perfumery Expression award for its merchandising and sales performance in Sephora Australia which saw it grow to a Top 10 skincare brand at the retailer in the first half of this year after launching at #53.

Murad Australia country manager Emma Hindmarsh says the local team was very excited to have won the award as “it proves that the Murad brand aligns seamlessly with Australia and our varied consumers who prioritise health for their lives and equally for their skin”.

“Murad International sees great potential for our market and offers us continuous support to reach our goal of becoming not only a top performing product brand, but also a top selling brand in the country.”

She says she has also recently implemented a revised brand structure so that Murad Australia now has “the perfect team to support our various sales channels and to drive brand growth” long into the future.

Katy Bacon has joined the company as sales and education manager to support Murad’s professional skincare channel (salons and spas) while Amelia Singson has been appointed Murad brand and events coordinator.

“Katy is busy identifying salon partners across the country who are ready to take on board our high-performance, clinically proven products while Amelia, who has a career in makeup artistry (and a passion for skincare) will drive growth with our retail partners,” says Hindmarsh.

Hindmarsh and Bacon both travelled to Murad’s international conference where Dr Howard Murad, the founder of the 30-year-old brand, presented them with the award at a glamorous dinner at the Shades Resort in Redondo Beach, California.
