Lydia Jordane, founder and CEO of Lycon Wax and Lydia Jordane Skincare, turned 60 on February 9, 2010.
To honour the occasion, her staff at the company’s headquarters in Brisbane, surprised Lydia with a beautiful banner, displayed across the front of the office building, painted with Lycon's famous waxes.
The sign received a lot of attention from passersby.
Lydia commented on the day: "I am humbled and thankful to have such wonderful staff, you have all made my 60th birthday extra special."
Lydia launched her world-famous Lycon wax 32 years ago, and her signature skincare collection, Lydia Jordane Skincare, 11 years ago. The wax is now available in over 38 countries worldwide.
Celebrating her 60th birthday, Lydia (pictured left) feels it is her commitment and passion for the beauty industry that has kept her busy; inspiring, educating and mentoring fellow beauty therapists, beauty students, wholesalers, export agents around the globe, and her staff – to create what she calls “a wonderful company culture”.
With the support of her staff, her youthful attitude and appearance, and vigour, Lydia said she does not feel the need to retire anytime soon.
