Diary: Ultraceuticals Goes All Out for Ultra DNA³ Complex Recovery Night Cream Launch

This week, Australian cosmeceutical brand Ultraceuticals launched its latest skincare product – Ultra DNA³ Complex Recovery Night Cream.

To celebrate, Sydney-based media guests were invited to Reign at the QVB for a morning of breakfast, education, and consultations. The space was adorned with purple, red and blush pink blooms, set against the bustling CBD.

The event kicked off with networking between guests and the brand’s R&D team. Ultraceuticals founder Dr Geoffrey Heber was also present, sharing the brand’s latest achievements and plans for the year.

Roaming canapes, including savory smoked salmon pikelets, bruschetta, and toasted granola were available, accompanied by rose pink mocktails.

Ultraceuticals Global Education Manager Tracey Beeby introduced the morning’s proceedings over a sit-down breakfast. Guests were treated to alternate servings of soy quinoa toast, broad bean hummus, poached eggs, furikake, and watercress pesto, as well as green onion crumpets, smoked salmon, avocado, goat’s curd, and lemon jam. Fresh fruits and pastries were also available.

Ultraceuticals formulators Dr Sally Noushini and Dr Shiva Farabi joined Tracey for a panel discussion surrounding the development of the Ultra DNA³ Complex Recovery Night Cream. The women said that their research was focused on the skin’s renewal cycle and the fact that transepidermal water loss peaks at night.

The cream, which boasts three enzymes from Micrococcus Lysate, Arabidopsis Thalania and Plankton Extracts are absorbed by skin using a liposome delivery system. Lamellar technology is designed to mimic the skin’s lipid layer, allowing the cream to replace lost lipids in the skin barrier. Independent research was conducted on every ingredient. The product was in development for over two years.

To conclude the event, guests were invited to partake in a consultation with an Ultraceuticals’ skin specialist. Additional products from the range were then prescribed.

Professional Beauty Online Editor Hannah Gay has since commenced using the cream at night as the final step in her routine. On the product, she said: “I adore this product, primarily for the formula’s consistency – it’s a joy to use. I like to warm a pea-sized amount in my palms, ushering the thick cream into a loose, serum-like feel. On application, I’ve found its formula melts into my skin with ease, penetrating the dermis with the flexibility of a traditional, hyaluronic-packed serum.”
