Robyn McAlpine Launches Skinside Out Retreat for Skin Professionals Only

Amidst the hustle-and-bustle of daily life, juggling careers with kids and everything in-between, it’s no wonder more and more people are turning to holistic approaches to achieve a sense of balance and inner peace.

Robyn McAlpine, skin therapist of nearly 20 years, believes the wellbeing of the practitioner should be considered with the same degree as that of their clients.

Combining skin education with the chance to stop, unwind and re-prioritise both professionally and personally, Robyn developed her Skinside Out Retreat.

The retreat is due to run on 12-15 May and was designed specifically for skin therapists.

Guests will be hosted at Somerleys Ocean Retreat, Casuarina Beach on the far-north coast of NSW.

Across three days, guests will be invited to take part in a variety of activities that are aimed at promoting relaxation, mindfulness, and overall wellbeing.

“I created this retreat to combine relaxation and self care with education,” Robyn said. “I definitely think [the retreat] is going to set the precedent for luxury learning and education!”

“I created this retreat to combine relaxation and self care with education,” Robyn said.

Between ocean swims, yoga classes and a massage or two, Robyn will take guests through a live consultation process with a client, providing ample time to ask questions throughout.

“Our industry is famous for not practicing what we preach when it comes to self care, so I wanted to create the space for busy and often overwhelmed skin therapists to recharge their batteries.”

In addition to running her business, Skintifix, Robyn is an experienced educator and author. “Mentoring skin therapists has been such a big part of my drive to impact our industry.

Offering a live-in, ‘in-situ’ training and mentoring retreat felt like the perfect way to connect and inspire therapists who want to learn the art of the skin consultation in a relaxed and open forum environment.”

While spaces have filled quickly, 2 x queen share suites and 1 x king share suite are still available for interested skin therapists wanting to partake. Included in the price of each package is three nights beach-side accommodation, all meals prepared by a chef, multiple live training sessions, as well as one-on-one time with Robyn.
