Hair Festival 2023 To Take Place Over June Long Weekend

Hair Festival will be returning in 2023 for its second year, taking place in Sydney over June 11 and 12 and ensuring the June long weekend remains a pivotal weekend in the hairdressing calendar.

The event follows the success of 2022’s inaugural outing, adding to the rapidly rising Hair Festival legacy with education, networking, competitions and market opportunities essential to the hair industry, all taking place at Sydney’s famous Carriageworks venue.

The festival is designed to showcase all aspects of the industry, from salons and barbers to manufacturers, business leaders and distributors.

Education is at the heart of Hair Festival, and the versatile Education Sessions pave the way with a myriad of important topics across creative and business education taught by leading brands, educators and industry stars across the whole weekend.

For salon and business owners, the REALtalk Business Forum will address all the current issues that hair businesses are facing, facilitating conversations that matter across facets of mental health, technology, the global market, consumer confidence and much more. Kicking off the festival across the Sunday morning, the event will offer panel discussions and must-see keynote speeches that lead on these topics.

Beyond the education rooms, Hair Festival promises fun, celebration and networking opportunities across the two days. The free MarketPlace congregates it all over one packed expo floor that’s filled with innovations, and with dedicated hubs to meet up, wind down and explore specific focuses in business and men’s hair. The floor encompasses the latest in tools, products, innovations, activations, displays and so much more.

The event is dedicated to the spirit of the hair industry and the live Hair Festival competitions offer professional hairdressers the chance to be recognised by the industry and win for their talents. A range of six categories, Dream Team Collab, Barber Street 2023, Editorial Glam Slam, Splash of Colour, Women’s Street Style and The Bob, put hair skills in the spotlight, with a myriad of prizes including editorial highlights in INSTYLE magazine and a selection of gifts from leading brands on offer.

The Wonderland event is the ultimate party, lighting up Sunday night at The Establishment in Sydney’s city, with music, a curated food and bar menu and immersive installations making this a night to remember.

“We were blown away by the success of our launch of Hair Festival in 2022, but this year will be even bigger and better ” said Craig Hawtin-Butcher, INSTYLE and Styleicons.com.au managing director. “We’ve had a great response from the industry and we’re so excited to pay it back by bringing everyone together again in Sydney to shop, learn, compete and connect.”

Tickets are available in tailored instalments, which allow attendees to choose the sessions and events that best work for them, as well as the All Access Pass that gives free reign over the entire two days at the greatest value. Tickets are selling fast, so don’t miss out on this unparalleled weekend of hair.
