Study at the College of Natural Beauty in 2011

Enrolment applications for 2011 at the College of Natural Beauty (CNB) in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane close Monday, January 31 2011.

Prospective students of all ages are encouraged to apply with CNB to complete a nationally accredited Diploma in under a year for full-time students or 18 months for part-time students.

“The College of Natural Beauty study experience is unique in that it combines the essential aspects of beauty therapy with a wide range of holistic treatments, and we have a greater number of individual facilities for students to each have their own tools and equipment for effective learning,” said College of Natural Beauty National Manager, Heddy Butler.

CNB’s Diploma course covers beauty fundamentals, clinical studies, facials, anatomy and physiology, advanced makeup techniques, massage, cosmetic chemistry, nutrition, and allows students to select an elective from the spa stream or permanent epilation and diathermy.

Students can also learn in-demand spa treatments, such as stone massage (incorporating hot and cold stones), hydrotherapy and vichy shower (a type of shower in which large quantities of warm water are poured over a spa patron while they lie in a shallow wet bed, similar to a massage table).

“Opportunities within the beauty industry are endless and many College of Natural Beauty graduates find their Diploma is a passport to travel the world and work with the leading names in beauty,” says Butler.

She further explains, “A number of CNB graduates have gone on to open and manage their own salon, are employed by leading exotic resorts or work in training roles with major skin care companies.”

CNB will also be taking on new students mid-year to commence study on May 23, 2011 and September 12, 2011.

What’s more, CNB offer payment plan options and students are eligible for government assistance through Centrelink.
