Issada Cosmetics is offering their salons, spas and clinics the chance to expand their knowledge and up-skill by attending an Issada Masterclass.
In the masterclasses, Issada makeup experts will provide a professional level of education, covering key focus areas within makeup artistry.
Following positive feedback from the 2008 masterclasses, the 2009 schedule has been expanded from four to six per year.
Topics this year include: Mature Skins, Retailing Makeup, Face Shapes and Colour Theory, Global Skins and Eyes, Bridal Makeup and Smokey Eye Perfection/Evening Makeup. These topics were chosen in response to client feedback, and general market research on what makeup areas are required or requested most in a salon environment.
Issada masterclasses are comprised of a detailed theory component, with a comprehensive written compendium for students to retain as a reference tool. Students practice a range of different looks on various models of differing ages, face shapes, skin-tones, and makeup preferences.
To ensure that students are at comparable levels, masterclasses are to be attended only by salon staff who have already completed Issada’s initial two-day training module. This free training is run monthly for new salon staff or those wanting a refresher, and includes a comprehensive product knowledge course on day one and a basic practical application course on day two.
Masterclass numbers will be restricted to a maximum of 12 per session, to ensure that each student benefits from personal one-on-one tuition. The cost is $50 per student.
The half-day masterclass courses are held at the Issada head office and training facility in Brisbane, Queensland.
