On a recent trip to America attending the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) conference, Val from Hovan’s Group was able to arrange for two highly-respected permanent makeup specialists, Johnny McCarty and James Williams, to visit Australia for workshops in July.
Val has known both Johnny and James for well over eight years. Both are members of the SPCP and are regular attendees of all world-wide conferences.
Johnny has been in the beauty and aesthetics industry for over 42 years. He taught at Beckley Institute of Hair Design and worked as a hairdresser for over 36 years. He has practiced permanent makeup for over 22 years and is considered a pioneer of the permanent makeup world. He is also the recipient of numerous awards for excellence and has won international recognition.
A true innovator, Johnny has developed his own technique for applying areola and nipple colouration, and developing his own universal areola pigment colour. He is the founder and owner of Perfect Touch Permanent Makeup Center in North Carolina and is the owner of New Image Medi Spa in South Carolina.
James Williams has always been a talented artist and joined Johnny’s Perfect Touch Permanent Makeup Center several years ago. His passion for the industry and on-going training drew him into the teaching arena.

How to create the areola and the illusion of a protruding nipple on their mannequin. Johnny will also perform a live demonstration creating areolas and nipples on a patient who has had a double mastectomy using his personally-blended Universal Numee Numee Areola Pigment Colour.
Eyebrow Hair Strokes
The duo will teach you how to get a natural look on your mannequins. Johnny will also perform a live demonstration creating natural-looking hair strokes. What’s more, there’ll be time for questions and answers, you’ll receive a certificate of attendance and free gifts.

Johnny will show you his special way to do a very natural lip line definition that every woman, no matter what her age, wants and loves.
