Respected environmental group, Planet Ark has just endorsed its first skin care range. Pure & Green Organics beauty products now bears the Planet Ark endorsed logo after meeting a strict environmental criteria.
“Our endorsement means consumers can now buy quality skin care products whose environmental claims they can trust without worrying about ‘greenwash’ and false claims,” says Paul Klymenko, Planet Ark CEO.
To gain Planet Ark endorsement Pure & Green Organics had its beauty products evaluated against four criterias – their environmental impact, health, quality and cost. Products were assessed to ensure that they do not contain synthetics or petrochemicals, have the highest quality ingredients, offer value for money, and that their use reduces environmental impact compared to alternatives.
Along with Planet Ark’s endorsement, Pure & Green Organics is the first cosmetics brand to have all of its products, across all four categories of skin, hair, teeth and body care certified by ACO (Australian Certified Organic) with a minimum of 95 percent organic ingredients. It sources 60 percent of its raw materials locally and uses compostable PLA bioplastic bottles made from renewable plant sugar and 100 percent post-consumer recycled cardboard caps.

Pure & Green Organics products that now bear the “Proudly endorsed by Planet Ark” logo include a range of soaps, toothpaste, facial and bodycare products.
