BABOR Australia has just launched the Skinovage Skincare System with five different lines formulated for different skin types and skin conditions. The new range caters to dry, sensitive, oily, fatigued, and combination skin.
The range’s clean, new packaging combines an elegant white with delicate pastels to highlight different skin needs.
According to researchers at the global brand, genes only account for 20%-30% of a person’s skin type. And so, external factors such UV radiation, air pollution, diet, stress, and sleep patterns are responsible for 70% of a person’s skin condition and ageing process. Hence, BABOR’s Skinovage was designed to strengthen skin and keep it looking youthful for longer.
The brand used a blend of the two active ingredients Alpine Rose extract and a unique marine polysaccharide, to provide comprehensive protection against oxidative damage.
The range also utilises cellophane outer packaging and avoids any animal-based ingredients, gluten, lactose, silicone, parabens, mineral oils, microplastics, and synthetic fragrances.
The skincare routine has five steps, based on the individual skin types:
Steps 1 & 2: Cleansing e.g. with HY-ÖL and Phytoactives from the BABOR Cleansing line
Step 3: Skinovage Serum
Step 4: Skinovage Eye Cream
Step 5: Skinovage Cream
Additional step: Skinovage Mask
Vitalising – for tired, dull skin
The Vitalising line combines the innovative blend of active ingredients including ATP, algin (from seaweed) and papaya extract energises and hydrates the skin.
Balancing – for combination skin
On the other hand, the Balancing line caters to uneven complexion with enlarged pores that needs a flexible approach. The range has been formulated for complex needs and provides effective protection against oxidative stress and premature ageing. In addition, mineral flakes from argillaceous rock create a blurring effect, concealing irregularities and giving the appearance of smoothing the skin contour.
Calming – for sensitive skin
Thirdly, the Calming line soothes the skin, boosts its resilience, and helps reduce its tendency to overreact to environmental aggressors like pollution. Hence, it guarantees good tolerance by the skin, as it is sensitively formulated without fragrance and added colours.
Moisturising – for dry skin
In addition, the Moisturising line nourishes skin with intensively hydrating active ingredients and select lipids. This boosts the skin’s natural protective barrier and locks in moisture, helping the skin to retain its youthful elasticity. Further, the range’s main ingredient – extract of Red Algae – activates the skin’s own hyuralonic synthesis and stimulates lipid and ceramide synthesis.
Purifying – for oily, blemish-prone skin
The Purifying line can help rid the skin of impurities and refine the complexion with its effective products. And in addition, its natural bioflavonoids from the mulberry plant reduce sebum production and stimulate the natural exfoliation process on the skin’s surface.
