Minx complements My Wild Love at MBFWA

Australian fashion designer My Wild Love revealed its Spring/Summer 2013 fashion collection on April 28, 2012 as part of the Fashion Palette event at Carriageworks in Sydney, Australia, complementing the collection with Minx nail fashion.

Peter Lykissas, head of the Switch Funky Style Squad that directed the nail fashion for the Fashion Palette participants, suggested Minx for My Wild Love. “The prints and designs are so amazing, and they work well with almost any designer,” Peter explained. “Plus, since Minx is a solid nail coating, there is no drying time needed which is a huge benefit when you are working quickly and you do not want to risk damaging fabric with smears or smudges.”

A total of 15 models wore arrow-shaped nails with Rattlesnake Minx on their fingertips, with My Wild Love designer Marnia Ryan-Raison inspiring the team to add feathers to the nails for a final, exotic touch.

Nail stylists Monica Ropiha, Roxana Pourali, Angela Lucisano and P’treece Ropiha applied the nail fashion to the models. “Using Minx is so much easier than polish,” stated Monica, who also applied Minx to models at the Vivienne Westwood show in London recently. “Minx nail coverings provide you with perfect designs that you just cannot achieve with nail varnish, and you can also create custom designs specifically for the designer or the collection,” she explained.
