Reality makeup artist web series airs

Webcast reality show, Cleo Make me a Make-up Artist, spearheaded by top Australian makeup artist, Rae Morris, aims to find the country’s next top makeup artist and has already seen two of its six “webisodes” air.

The online reality drama sees four finalists pitted against each other in a series of four challenges to create particular makeup looks. The results are judged by Rae Morris, Cleo beauty editor Rachael Mannell and Anna Hull from Priceline.

The finalists were selected from thousands of entries and are in the running to win $10,000, courtesy of Priceline, a L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Makeup kit and a six-page photo-shoot in Cleo.

Webisode one introduces the four finalists: Ava Belle, Amelia Axton, Phoebe Goulding and Jacqueline Hnitko. Webisode two, which aired this week, sees the contestants follow their first brief from Rae Morris to create a ‘bronzed, beach look’.

Cleo Make me a Make-up Artist is set to be an annual competition, and is open to makeup students and professionals.
