The awards evening will be held on Friday 23 November 2012, at The Arena in Fortitude Valley and will showcase four nominees within the makeup category. Napoleon Perdis makeup artist Tracey Zenatti will account for 50 per cent of the vote on the evening, with the remaining 50 per cent being left up to live public votes.

The Makeup Artist of the Year will be awarded a product basket from Napoleon Perdis valued at $500, a $500 discount on a full upstyle long hair design units course at the Brisbane School of Hairdressing, makeup artist photo shoot collaboration in Hair Biz and Image Magazine, printed portfolio from AsukaBook, and an on-camera interview with Fashion One.

RAW Australia’s executive director Kristen Wehlow, said the exposure to the industry judging panel and the prize packages will create unprecedented opportunities for the deserving winner.

“Every nominated artist will not only have great exposure to industry heavyweights but will also be showcasing in front of potentially 800 local lovers of the arts,” she said.

“Being an organisation by artists for artists, we have been lucky enough to secure support from one of Australia’s most successful businesses Napoleon Perdis, and the ever-talented Tracey, along with incredible career-boosting prizes. Some of the makeup showcases seen throughout the year have been mind blowing, the level of detail and flair behind some of the designs is a true testament to Brisbane’s talent pool.”

A total of 38 artists will battle it out on the RAWards evening in the nine categories of fashion, accessories, visual art, film, hair, makeup, music, performing art, and photography.

All winners will also receive a consultation with Media Arts Lawyers, $30 credit to MOO, and RAW:Australia awards and accolades.
