M.A.C Signs Controversial Ambassador

Legendary makeup brand M.A.C has teamed up with controversial pop star and actress Miley Cyrus for the launch of its latest campaign.

If you haven’t heard of Miley Cyrus, chances are you’ve been living under a rock.

Besides the controversial star’s foam finger thrusting antics, Cyrus has been catching people’s attention for a long time.

So it wasn’t surprising to learn that iconic makeup brand M.A.C signed the child star turned edgy pop singer up for its latest campaign. Love her or loathe her, Cyrus is guaranteed to give the brand one thing: serious attention.

Under her new contract with the brand, Cyrus will be the new M·A·C VIVA GLAM spokesperson.

And she’s already kicked the campaign into full throttle by revealing the campaign visuals and product images on her social media channels, which are followed by millions of fans.

M.A.C’s VIVA GLAM Miley Cyrus Lipstick and Lipglass will launch in Australia in February 2015, and the brand has committed to donate every cent of the selling price toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Have your say: Do you think controversial celebrity brand ambassadors hinder or help campaigns like this?
