On the 21st of November, Encore Beauty in Castle Hill celebrated the relaunch of SLA Academy with an inspiration-filled open day.
It was an open day filled with beauty events when Encore Beauty celebrated the opening of its SLA (Serge Louis Alvarez) Academy to bigger premises in Castle Hill, Sydney.
Those interested in all aspects of makeup artistry watched as image consultant, Nicole Steel-Battig presented the Essential Styling course, followed by head makeup artist, Shae Macintyre showing how to achieve four makeup looks in one hour. The new principal of the SLA Academy, Tracy Becken, demonstrated a high fashion bridal makeup then head trainer of Hair Design WSI Institute, Denise Xidias, finished the bridal model show with an exquisite hair style. As part of the training programs on offer, Denise will present a two-day intensive Upstyling workshop at the academy.
The mayor of the Hills district, Michelle Byrnes-Fuente, wrapped up the formalities by acknowledging the importance the entry of the academy represents for the community for budding makeup artists, makeup professionals and discerning consumers.
The acclaimed academy is offering one to eight month courses covering all elements of makeup artistry that includes an international makeup certificate course. Students completing this course will have the option to travel to France with four days training at the SLA academy in Paris as well as attend Cosmoprof Bologna, the leading global event for the professional beauty industry.
There are also SLA makeup refresher courses for industry professionals and staff in outlets that sell the Serge Louis Alvarez range. Consumers have the opportunity to take one-on-one makeup lessons, professionals can attend makeup lessons in the evenings and lifestyle image courses covering fashion, hair styling and makeup skills are available too.
The showroom has the full range of SLA makeup for artists, students and makeup devotees to buy, and the showroom is operated by professional makeup artists who can assist clients with bookings for wedding, formal and special event makeovers.
All products are produced in the SLA factory in France using selected plant extracts and nature to create an ecological and organic ECOCERT range.
