5 Minutes with Danielle Kurukchi

Professional Beauty chats to Danielle Kurukchi, owner of Final Touch Brows about starting her own business and how she gained the title of ‘eyebrow specialist’.

1What is your background and career path so far?
I have always had a passion for beauty, but more so, for eyebrows! At 17, I focused my interests on beauty therapy, attending a private college and gaining my Diploma in Beauty Therapy. I opened my own salon at the age of 19. I was determined to offer exceptional customer service and to continue to expand my knowledge so I could offer my clients the most luxurious, high quality treatments and products.

How did you start Final Touch Brows?
It wasn’t long after opening my own salon that my passion for eyebrows allowed me to establish myself, and build my reputation, as an ‘eyebrow specialist’, and in doing this I attracted a large client base. After 13 years in the beauty industry, I further extended this passion for brows and that’s when Final Touch Brows was born!

Why brows?
Our eyebrows are so important, yet for some reason people fail to realise their importance. I knew there was something missing in our industry. A top quality, Australian-made and owned brand dedicated to brows only. It was just so obvious for me.

Why did you develop eyebrow extensions? How does it stand out from other brow services?
There has been a massive consumer demand for eyebrow extensions, and as a company specialising in brow products/accessories and professional in-salon services, it did seem like a natural progression to develop this service and offer it to the Australian professional salon market. As far as we are aware, we are the very first Australian company to bring this service to the market, and the response has been phenomenal!

Who does this service target?
The Final Touch Brows Eyebrow Extension service is a professional salon-only service which requires specialised training. The service is perfect for women (or men!) who are looking to correct over-plucked, thinning brows, those who want to fill in gaps, and thicken or extend the brow.

How could a salon owner offer this service in their salon?
At Final Touch Brows we are offering extensive training in eyebrow extensions. Our courses run for approx. 5 hours. We teach you the natural brow growth patterns and how to apply the extensions to clients as well as how to build a brow from scratch for clients who have lost all of their natural brows. Training also includes the full kit with everything you need to offer this service and all required marketing material.
