Victoria’s Essentials launches range of pregnancy body products

Melbourne-based Victoria’s Essentials will officially launch an Australian-made professional and retail body care range specifically formulated for pregnant women at the Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo on August 8 and 9, 2009.

The company says that M2B products have been developed to address the unique changes to a woman’s body during pregnancy. Normally, as skin stretches the body’s response is to deliver Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) to the affected area. However, during pregnancy EFAs are diverted to the baby, which can result in stretch marks. M2B products are designed to deliver high levels of skin-protecting EFAs, with Moroccan argan, meadowfoam and wheatgerm oils. The products also contain vegetable oils, 32 botanical extracts and vitamins.

Victoria Slater, founder of Victoria’s Essentials, said: “M2B was formulated in response to a request by one of Australia’s leading spas to provide a series of professional and retail products that specifically catered to pregnant women. M2B products are all about pampering mums-to-be naturally, by nourishing stretching skin, soothing parched areas, easing tired feet and toning a growing bust line with omega-rich botanicals, butters and oils, all formulated to nurture a woman during this special time.”

The company says it works closely with its spa customers to explore new treatments and develop them into professional products. Many of their treatments were born from this methodology, including Vinothérapie, M2B and their hair treatments.
