The Andaman Resort has been voted as the leading spa resort in Asia at the World Travel Awards ball.
The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort on Langkawi's acclaimed and secluded Datai Bay Beach was branded 'Asia's Leading Spa Resort' at the 17th Annual World Travel Awards ceremony in London last week.
The Starwood-managed property beat 16 other finalists for the accolade, which was conferred by more than 183,000 hospitality professionals around the globe.
"The World Travel Awards have become a very big deal," stated Anne Scott, General Manager of The Andaman. "The fact that so many experts selected us serves as further testament that we're creating inspiring experiences for our guests."
The award is the second prestigious honour bestowed upon The Andaman in as many months. In October, it was hailed one of the top 10 hotels in Asia and the Indian subcontinent by readers of Conde Nast Traveller magazine.
Opened in 1996 on Langkawi's isolated northwest tip, The Andaman has long attracted guests for its singular location.
