Professional Beauty got MAC regional makeup directors, Vimi Joshi and Miriam Khairallahto, to reveal the makeup trends set to rule 2015. And this Spring/Summer, the buzz words on the runway are ‘light’ and ‘freedom’, with ethereal, glossy finishes and adventurous pops of colour forecast to dominate. Here’s the roundup of the hottest, most iconic makeup looks for 2015…

The look: ‘Enlightened’

The breakdown: Glossy lids are teamed with flawless, dewy skin made up with minimal foundation and highlighted high points to impart a freshly showered, glowing look, finished off with a bright burst of colour on the lips.

The look: ‘Free party’

The breakdown: Cool neon and metallic hues rim the eyes to theatrical effect, while skin is kept natural looking with minimal foundation and just a light flush of rosy blush for a wild child inspired look.

The look: ‘No makeup’

The breakdown: Well-prepped skin nourished with skincare products is finished off with minimal concealer focused on imperfections and dark circles and lightly buffed back with a brush for a dewy, natural finish.
