Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa wins Best Destination Spa

Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, in the Mineral Springs Reserve, Daylesford, Victoria, recently won ‘Best Destination Spa’ in The Australian newspaper’s Travel & Tourism Awards, 2009.

Describing the spa, The Australian website said:

“The recent $13 million makeover of this Edwardian complex, where bathers have been taking the waters for more than a century, has resulted in a world-class facility combining communal bathing in the Bathhouse (complete with relaxation pools, spa couches, steam room and spa) with all the pleasures of a contemporary day spa.”

Renovated in 2008, the state-of-the-art facilities in the new Hepburn Bathhouse allow visitors to benefit from bathing in natural mineral water, drawn directly from the springs, in a modern luxurious environment. The spa also offers relaxing and reviving treatments including private mineral baths, massages, facials, body scrubs and wraps, and spa rituals.

Kim Whitehouse, General Manager Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, said: “This is a wonderful reward for the team as it highlights our dedication to exceptional service delivery within our world class bathhouse and spa. The competition was fierce, as we were competing against some of Australia’s finest spa retreats and resorts.”

Thalgo is one of Hepburn Spa's product partners, chosen at its relaunch because of the synergy between the spa’s concept of curative mineral springs and Thalgo’s concept of thalassotherapy – the treatment of the body with natural sea water. Guests can experience Thalgo facial, body and spa treatments including the exclusive 60-minute body ritual Thalgo Cocoon.

Gavin Caganoff, Marketing Director Thalgo is delighted about the win: “Thalgo is proud to be a partner of this prestigious spa destination. Congratulations to the staff at Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa for the award, it’s certainly well deserved.”
