Ultraderm: supporting salon partners throughout the lockdown

What a different landscape we are operating in now. In just a few short weeks the beauty industry has found itself shut down and business owners and managers have found themselves having to close their doors and work in other ways to continue having an income stream whilst they await permission to re-open.

As a skincare supplier, Ultraderm has also been affected by the shutdown (we are open but with shorter operating hours and less staff) however, we remain strongly committed to supporting our salon partners and the rest of the industry through the current situation and rebuilding process upon re-opening.

Ultraderm has always encouraged salon partners to nurture their client database and develop and grow their salons brand with a strong web and social media presence. As a result of this we have found that many of our partners have been able to quite quickly shift their focus and energy to retailing to their clients, some have moved their stock home whilst some are still going to their premises to process their online orders, sell gift vouchers (especially for Mother’s Day which is around the corner) for when they re-open,  update and maintain their websites and online stores. We are assisting our Partners in this process where we can with our marketing resources and marketing calendar. Salons are also using this time to refresh staff skills and product knowledge.

Ultraderm continues to support salon retail by maintaining our regular campaign schedule of retail promotions, promoting all our Salon Partners through our website and on social media as well as growing brand awareness through consumer channels.

We should also remember that this time of shutdown is a period of enforced rest so we whilst we encourage business owners and staff to do their utmost to keep business viable we also support the use of this time to rest, reflect and plan for future goals and growth opportunities. We have also seen an increase of enquiries from salons who are looking to partner with us and who have already committed to stocking Ultraderm in their business. So, we are optimistic that business can continue to grow in unusual conditions and as we all move to a full re-opening in the none to distance future, Ultraderm is continuing to planning new product launches, strategies and opportunities for growth and we look forward to doing so with all our new and current salon partners.
