InMode takes micro needling to new depths

Ask any skin clinician and they’ll tell you that while trends come and go, micro-needling is here for the long haul. With its minimally invasive nature, its quick results and practically zero downtime, it’s the treatment that has loyal clients booking in their follow-up appointment before they leave the salon.

And most skin clinicians will also tell you that the competition between suppliers of microneedling devices is fierce. But even we were impressed by the newly launched Morpheus8 by InMode. While the machine is exceptional at resurfacing, thanks to its 24 gold-coated micropins that penetrate the epidermis at 0.55mm, and is also brilliant subnormal and dermal remodelling with its 12 gold-coated pins penetrating up to 4mm, the Morpheus8 really comes into its own with its ‘Morpheus8 Body’ setting, which penetrates up to 8mm, providing deep subnormal adipose tissue remodelling.

The Morpheus8 is FDA approved and TGA listed.

Expanding on the recent launch of the Morpheus8 Body Subdermal Adipose Remodeling Device (SARD), the first and only FDA cleared and TGA listed technology to penetrate tissue with a thermal profile of 8mm, comes Morpheus8 Body Burst Technology.  This groundbreaking, industry-first, fractional technology automatically deploys bipolar RF energy to multi-level treatment depths in a single cycle.  The ability to target tissue sequentially at three levels, in millisecond intervals, allows for a significant reduction in treatment times, minimizes skin injury, increases treatment uniformity, and enables customized full body fractional procedures beyond anything previously available.

“Morpheus8 Burst RF technology was predicated on the principles of the Vulcanization Process for cross linking rubber molecules to improve elasticity and tensile strength,” said Doctor Spero Theodorou, InMode Chief Medical Officer. “Burst mode mediated RF Vulcanization involves a 3-step process, forming cross links between long collagen fiber molecules in a stratified depth range, to brace the Fibro Septal Network (FSN) and ultimately strengthen the overall skin-adipose scaffold.”
