endota spa celebrates 10 years

It seems like only yesterday that business partners Belinda Fraser and Melanie Gleeson sold their first endota spa franchise, and in the process launched the quintessential Australian day spa.

10 years on, the endota spa name adorns 62 spa businesses, an organic skincare range and a new Glycolic treatment range. Safe to say endota spa’s down to earth delicious service has won over spa-goers Australia-wide.

“When we started, there were 4 spas in total in Australia,” laughs Gleeson. “People literally thought that when you talked about a spa, you meant a Jacuzzi. We had quite the task in the early days, just educating people about what a day spa was!”

Clearly, public awareness has grown dramatically over the past decade – Gleeson says that around 25% of endota’s clientele are now male, and every endota offers treatments tailored specifically for men. What remains unchanged is the business partners’ enthusiasm and goals.

“We love what we do; really, what could be better?” says Gleeson. “The spa industry is the perfect place for us to realise our goals. We enable great, motivated people – the majority of them women – to own their own businesses, and determine their own futures. We run a business that sits well with our environmental beliefs.”

endota spa treatments utilise natural and organic Australian ingredients, endota skincare is certified organic, and 1% of sales from endota organic products are donated to Bush Heritage Australia.
