The Makeup Show acquired by Metropolitan Pavilion

Premier US makeup event, The Makeup Show, has been acquired by co-founder Metropolitan Pavilion.

With over 70 vendors and over 5,000 attendees, The Makeup Show marked its five-year anniversary with a successful The Makeup Show NYC, held Sunday, May 16 and May 17 at Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.
The Makeup Show NYC is a personalised and custom-tailored trade show, for and by working makeup artists. With carefully edited brands and by controlling the number of exhibitors, The Makeup Show NYC saw over 5,000 attendees, many of whom are repeat attendees from past shows, all the while remaining a boutique trade show environment.

The Makeup Show was co-founded by makeup artists for the makeup community. It will continue to be small in size keeping focus with professional brands, both big and small, who participate and rely on makeup artists who use and buy their products. In turn, it has become a one-stop resource for products and career building for professionals in an industry that is very competitive, where in order to be relevant you need to be ahead of trends and skill.
The 5-year show was the most attended show to date, and all hands-on workshop programs were sold out, free seminars at capacity, and with sales from many of the brands double expectations, a strong indication that the makeup industry is very healthy.

“This marks a milestone for The Makeup Show. We are thrilled to continue the spirit of the show, which has become an integral event for makeup professionals and the makeup community,” said Shelly Taggar, Vice President and Managing Director of The Makeup Show.
