Sydney Beauty Expo reveals new and exciting elements for 2011

This year, the Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo is excited to announce new elements, offering a bigger range of choice to cater for the entire industry. From spa to makeup and nail technicians to wellness centres, there is something for everyone.

The new elements introduced this year are:

Future Spa
The expo will present an inspirational and visionary feature highlighting the future of the spa industry. Be inspired by the ‘evolution of spa’, where emerging global spa trends are showcased in a gallery-style environment, focusing on the newest innovations and providing an insight into the newest developments in the spa industry. Discover how to add these new international trends to your signature spa treatments.

Runway to Reality
Discover the latest makeup trends and application techniques from international and Australian catwalks with international makeup artists Nicola Burford. She will be presenting a live demonstration on the main stage. A not-to-missed opportunity, it’s essential for those wanting to expand and improve their application skills, update their makeup knowledge and increase their professionalism in their salon makeup services.

Launch of the New Business Zone
2011 welcomes a new area, dedicated to companies who have not exhibited at the expo for the past three years. It will be a great way to introduce new and established businesses to the expo. Plus, it will offer an even greater choice to visitors on the expo floor.

Organic Food Chain
Organic services and products have been on the rise for the past few years and the trend continues to rapidly expand. The expo will provide a dedicated space for all the latest organic and natural products. The Organic Food Chain (OFC) will be joining the Organic & Naturals sector for the first time in 2011. The OFC will have their own pavilion for OFC certified companies.

New to Education
Gen Y seminar:
Want to know what makes Gen Y tick? Claire Crouch and Emma Hobson will take you inside the ‘Manage the Me Generation’ in a one-hour seminar that will explore ideas and techniques on how to coach, develop and retain this new generation of young and ambitious therapists.

Group Buying seminar: Group buying is taking the world by storm, and in turn, is affecting businesses. Presented by CUDO, the ‘Explore Group Buying: will it work for your business?’ seminar will discuss the ins and outs of this new phenomenon and how to capitalise on the power of the masses.

Eyebrow shaping workshop:
Chief brow artist, Svetlana Burckhardt will present an exclusive Eye Brow Shaping workshop. She will share trends, technique secrets and essential brow fixes. With over 14 years of beauty therapy experience, Burckhart is Australia’s reining ‘brow queen’ and is the director of the leading go-to brow boutique for leading beauty media and celebrities.
