The Leukaemia Foundation World's Greatest Shave is on again from 14th March to 17th March 2013.
More than 12,000 people are expected to be diagnosed with a blood cancer or related blood disorder in Australia this year, equivalent to 31 people every day. Money is needed to fund research to find better treatments and cures and fund the Leukaemia Foundation’s free services to support patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
More than 150,000 people from all walks of life are expected to shave or colour their hair in 2013. Show your support by arranging your own event at home or at work. The Leukaemia Foundation also hosts some public events and will be listed on their website closer to the time.
The money raised will raise funds for the foundation’s free services to support people with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders, and their families as well as research to improve treatments and find cures.
