Inside Salon Lane’s First Brisbane Location at West End

Salon Lane recently celebrated the grand opening of their first Queensland site, positioned at Brisbane’s West End.

West End is Salon Lane’s third location, with their sights set on national expansion. The company currently operates sites out of Sydney’s Surry Hills and Lower North Shore.

The co-working space is open to beauty, hair and wellness sole traders looking to treat their clients without the overheads associated with a stand-alone shopfront.

Salon Lane West End is located on the first floor of the Factory 2 building in the upmarket West Village retail precinct. The site spans 850 square metres and is set within a restored heritage building. Exposed brick walls, polished concrete and timber laminate floors, steel beams, and wooden accents add warmth and sophistication to its design.

The site is largely open-plan and features a circular communal workspace. Natural light is also plentiful.

The space can accommodate over 50 professionals at a time. The site consists of a concierge, retail shop, 24 private studios, 13 open workstations, a nail lounge, colour bar, client lounge, coffee bar, member lounge, laundry, and training and event facilities.

Alex Bowyer, who recently joined Salon Lane to launch his luxury head spa business shared his praise of the company in a press release: “I needed a location without any long-term commitments such as a commercial lease. The Salon Lane team made it easy to customise my studio to meet my needs and took the time to get to know me personally, understand my business, my goals for the future and actively support me to achieve them.”

Jared Keen, Co-Founder and CEO of Salon Lane said of the launch of the West End site: “The demand for a space like Salon Lane was overwhelming in Sydney and we are already seeing the same trend towards independent business ownership spread to the sunshine state. There are incredible possibilities for salon professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit to expand their businesses here.”
