Regul8 launches after 6 years in the making

Good things come to those who wait, and after six years of research, prototypes and modernisation, it’s a given Regul8 is going to live up to the anticipation. An all-natural range inspired by ancient medicinal practices, Regul8’s herbal supplement collection is designed to cleanse, restore and maintain a balanced digestive health system.

“If you don’t absorb, assimilate and eliminate properly, you can’t be healthy,” Founder and Regul8 Formulator Debbie Dickson said at Regul8’s global launch event.

“You need to absorb nutrients effectively from the food you consume, and if you’re unable to do this it can lead to a multitude of vitamin deficiencies.”

Regul8’s Digestive Tune-Up range is a three-step process that cleanses, soothes and repairs the gastrointestinal system by removing unwanted and unhealthy organisms. A variety of potent and natural ingredients actively work to rebalance the gut’s good bacterial cultures and create an optimum environment for them to flourish.

Approximately half of all Australians complain of some digestive problem in any 12 month period, with long term disturbances in gut flora and digestive health potentially resulting in various wide-ranging conditions, making microencapsulation technology more significant than ever.

“Research has shown that only 10-20% of cultures are able to reach the gut,” says Debbie. “Microencapsulation, (a protective coating) allows 100% of ingested cultures to be delivered alive to the target area. This coating provides an effective barrier and enables Regul8 probiotics to bass safely through the acidic environment of the stomach to reach the intestinal tract intact where the benefits can be most effective.”

According to Debbie, the digestive system isn’t that dissimilar to a garden. “If the garden (aka your gastrointestinal system) becomes overgrown with weeds, snails and other unbeneficial bugs (bad bacteria), it will not matter what seeds, flowers or veggies are planted (pro-biotics), they won’t grow, with weeds (bad bacteria) robbing these plants of nutrients essential to their survival.”

“Regul8 is a three-step program designed to weed, seed and feed your digestive system.”

Each capsule is filled with a plethora of plant-based ingredients, from black walnut, Chinese wormwood, gentian and slippery elm to zinc, passionflower, lemonbalm and rhodiola. While some companies include a mere 4-6% worth of pure extract in their products, Regul8 infuses up to 25% in their herbal-based formulas.

“The reason that we choose herbal is because a lot of the supplements on the market are actually synthetic, so they don’t have the transporters and the co-factors for that cell to be able to utilisie it,” explains Debbie. “Plant-based ingredients are recognised by the cell and the body will respond in a positive manner to the chemistry it recognises, hence the body can utilise these nutrients more efficiently.”

Regul8 works on the whole gastro-intestinal health track rather than just the small intestine and the stomach. The herb-based formulas are multi-faceted, allowing them to work on multiple systems at the same time, such as those of the liver, gall bladder and the pancreas.
Debbie, who was appointed Head of Education at Danne Montague-King’s DMK in 1998, strong believes that the cradle of the body’s health begins in the digestive system.

“I wanted to create a system that was founded on historically proven ingredients and combine that with improved delivery systems and potency to create a structure that easily aligns with and incorporates with modern day life.”

“It doesn’t matter how good your diet, how many supplements you take and how much exercise you do, if your digestive system isn’t working properly you can’t be healthy.”
