MBFWA: Napoleon & St Tropez for ELLERY

The inspiration behind E L L E R Y’s collection, labelled Renegade, is one of rebellion – against society, against fashion where bandits and outlaws rule. These girls are not pretty. They are rebels, misfits and renegades… But the most chic, the most achingly cool misfits imaginable.

The collection saw a concoction of croc-printed leather, shaggy fur and detailed lace, with models wearing a range of styles from short shorts to floral flares and floor-length dresses.

Napoleon Perdis says of the makeup, “The Ellery girl is always so cool! Who else could make the concept of being a “misfit” cool? I really wanted to reflect that notion in the makeup. It’s done but not – like there’s very little care factor – so it needed to be a very nude palette. I wanted the base to be extremely matte for this look. Almost chalky, but definitely not dry. Just some very subtle contouring and shading on the face and the eyes. And no mascara! A very bold statement coming from me. Just a hint of liner to emphasise the natural lash.”

St Tropez say of the tan, “This S/S we wanted the skin to be as dimensional and beautiful as Kym’s latest collection. We aimed to recreate that silky sheen that’s found in all E L L E R Y collections and create lush skin that would really compliment her designs.

“To get the look we slathered on the St Tropez Optimiser Body Butter then applied St Tropez’s Skin Illuminators and customised the colour for each girl.
