St Ives Professional Skin Care, located on the ground floor of St Ives Shopping Village, has taken out the prestigious 'Clarins Salon of the Year' Award for 2010. Salon owner Lucia Haiping attended the awards ceremony in December and was presented with the much sought-after award.
The Clarins Achievement Awards have been running for many years and are designed to encourage salons to reach their targets for the year, as well as recognising salons for their customer service and attention to detail with regard to promotions and products available.
“Lucia won her category out of 23 other salons in NSW for reaching her target and her outstanding service, presentation and an ongoing commitment to the Clarins brand,” says Jennifer Yanz, Area Manager for Trimex, the suppliers of Clarins in Australia.
“St Ives Professional Skin Care is what we strive for with all of our Clarins salons,” she adds. “They always tick all the boxes.”
With competition against her strong, many of the other salons being gold-class and much larger salons, Lucia didn’t expect to win the award at all.
“I was very surprised to receive the award,” says Lucia. “I always make sure that I have all the stock available and that my girls are fully trained in the latest techniques and products so that they provide our customers with the right products for them.”
“Because of this, our success-rate with clients is very high, and I think Clarins appreciate that, but many of the other salons are much larger than mine.”
This award means that Lucia can feel comfortable with her plans for the year. She aims to increase training for the girls who work in her salon and still work closely with the Clarins beauticians who'll be holding special promotion evenings for her valued clients.
“Although my girls are very good at what they do, I like to host an evening for my clients with the Clarins beauticians so that they get an extra-special evening of treatments and receive the most up-to-date information about the latest products.”
The award comes just as Lucia enters a special year for her business. She’ll be celebrating the salon’s 5th birthday with a special evening for her clients in July this year.
“I’m very pleased to have been recognised by Clarins. Clarins products have always served both us and our clients well over the past years and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow and look after our clients with these products.”
