China and Canada Win Gold

Wella Professionals celebrated ten years of its prestigious International Trend Vision Awards in style with 86 talented finalists from around 50 countries came together in the Madrid Arena in Spain to showcase hairdressing excellence.

There were four awards including the Young Talent Award, the Colour Award and two People’s Choice Awards. Zhangjian Wang from Wake up Salon in China won the prestigious Young Talent Award while Philip Ferreira from Axis Salon in Canada won the highly coveted Colour Award.

The Young Talent and Colour Award were judged by a panel of the world’s most respected industry experts. The Young Talent jury was headed up by global creative director, Eugene Souleiman and the Colour Category jury was led by Josh Wood.

“We were so impressed with all the finalist in the Young Talent category, but Zhangjian Wang really stood out for us. Their exceptional skill and creative vision came together to create a real show-stopping look,” says Eugene Souleiman, global creative director says.

The People’s Choice in the Young Talent category was awarded to Tatsiana Krupskay from Joli Salon in Belarus, while Lucian Busuioc from Artist Salon in Romania took out the People’s Choice award in the Colour category.
