Bodyography helps raise almost $6000 for Think Pink

Bodyography Australia has helped raise almost $6,000 for the Think Pink for Breast Cancer Patients foundation.

Bodyography invited 30 guests to the foundation’s Annual Masquerade Ball, held on June 20 raising just under $6,000. The company also auctioned $1000 worth of makeup on the night.

The event took place in the new Melbourne Convention Centre adjoining the Hilton Hotel.

The grand ballroom was decorated with pink-hued lighting and pink-themed table settings. Entertainment included dancers, a fashion show and Chilean singer, German Silva with his ten-piece band.

Bodyography works with the Think Pink foundation to raise awareness in the community and contributes both financially and helps raise funds for the foundation’s support programs. Their association was launched in April this year.

Rob Tamburro, General Manager, Bodyography Australia, said: “Bodyography is proud to support a foundation which provides such amazing support to cancer patients. Many organisations support or raise money for breast cancer research. We at Bodyography have chosen Think Pink as it supports and aids women in [need of] immediate financial and emotional support. Many families are torn apart during this time and the financial restraints placed on them are difficult, in many cases ending marriages. It is great to see an organisation looking after the family aspect through this time.”

The Think Pink Foundation is an independent, volunteer-based charity whose mission is to raise funds to provide financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients and their families. It funds worthy projects that help provide breast cancer patients with information and counselling. It also provides funds to patients who are in financial need to help them through their journey with breast cancer.

Since 2003, Think Pink has, through its association with CISS, (the Cancer Information and Support Service at Cancer Council Victoria) provided over $1,000,000 to help patients and their families.

Bodyography also sponsored an Intimo lingerie fashion show for the Think Pink foundation in Sydney on June 26th at the Sebel Surry Hills Hotel. Over 80 guests attended the VIP event to view a selection of Intimo apparel for men and women.

Proceeds from purchases of Intimo items went towards raising money for the Think Pink foundation, with just under $1500 raised on the night.
