Anisa International, a global leader in the cosmetic brush industry, celebrated its seven year anniversary of its manufacturing plant in Tianjin, China on November 6.
Festivities included “Lucky Prize” drawings for gifts, awards of bicycles for employees with perfect yearly attendance, speeches by American, Korean and Chinese representatives, as well as a celebratory meal featuring traditional Chinese dishes.
Another group of selected employees were rewarded with a trip to Hong Kong to attend the Cosmoprof Asia trade show on November 10-12, where Anisa International was an exhibitor.
President Anisa Telwar opened the brush making plant in 2003 to incorporate the full integration of both design and manufacturing, to enhance customer service and increase control over all aspects of the manufacturing process.
The facility is a benchmark in the new generation of manufacturing facilities in China, bringing together the American standard of social and quality compliance with the dedication and determination of the Asian work ethic.
The plant maintains the highest quality and social compliance standards, evidenced by successfully passing audits conducted by independent companies that include some of the largest beauty retailers in the world.
In 2006, Target Corporation named Anisa International the Beauty Vendor of the Year, and it is one of few facilities of its kind that has passed the L’Oreal company’s rigorous social compliance standards.
In a speech addressing the employees, President Anisa Telwar recognised the challenges that were overcome in 2010, and praised the team’s continuing creativity and hard-work, which produced a near record year for the company.
“Challenge is a dragon with a gift in its mouth, tame the dragon and the gift is yours,” said Telwar. "My goal and dream for our future is to be the most innovative leader in all that we do. Please join me in this dream because I feel we are destined for many wonderful new opportunities.”
