ACMUSE On-Stage at IMATS Sydney

The Australian College of Makeup and Special Effects (ACMUSE) will be exhibiting at IMATS Sydney and participating in on-stage events.

ACMUSE DIPS STUDENT 4

The college will holding an Open Forum on the main stage on Saturday September 20 where ACMUSE head of school Vanessa Katama will be hosting an intimate chat with the crowd and provide insight into the College and different courses available.

During Vanessa’s presentation ACMUSE students will be performing makeup demonstrations. Four Certificate IV and Diploma students will be creating a unique look that draws inspiration from an area of makeup or special effects that inspires them the most.

“As a College, we do not get many opportunities to physically showcase the content of our courses first-hand to an audience. So the opportunity to do so in front of a large group of industry professionals is just perfect. All our students were keen to take part when we first told them about it, and the chosen ones will be superb up on stage doing what makeup students do best – makeup,” said Vanessa Katama.

ACMUSE trainers Annette Hardy and Eliza Campagna will also be taking to the stage with professional makeup brand Ben Nye, sharing makeup tips and techniques.

ACMUSE SFX 2

A number of ACMUSE students have entered the IMATS Battle of the Brushes competition – a competition many past students have won and used as a launchpad for their careers.

ACMUSE will also be exhibiting on booth #409, they will be documenting their IMATS experience using the hashtag #acmuseatimats.
