Shortcuts says Set & Forget Marketing can improve revenue

Brisbane’s Shortcuts Software says that salons and spas are embracing direct email marketing, with one million emails sent worldwide, according to statistics the company released on last week.

Shortcuts Software, a company that develops and exports point of sale systems for salons and spas around the world, says it has successfully integrated Set & Forget Marketing, a direct email marketing solution, through point of sale systems.

The company says that businesses they surveyed using Set & Forget Marketing are demonstrating that direct marketing is a successful medium to advertise to clients. For example, according to the company, Luke Reynolds Hairdressing, with a 42 per cent open rate of Set & Forget Marketing emails, generated revenue of $5,262 over a 20 week period.

Shortcuts Software evolution manager, Jo Burgess, said maintaining communication with clients is integral for salons and spas.

“Strategically, it is important to advertise through economic downturns,” Mrs Burgess said. “The trust and relationship a [therapist] has with their clients is unique. This ensures salon emails are welcomed, expected and opened.

“Companies that continue to communicate with their clients will improve their profitability and forge a greater divide between themselves and their competitors, when the economy recovers,” Mrs Burgess said.

Shortcuts Software said that the success of direct marketing email is due to its low entry costs, measurability and return on investment results.
